According to the latest statistics “The power of social networking is such that that number of worldwide users is expected to reach 3.02 billion monthly active users by 2021, that is around a third of the Earth’s entire population.”

It is crucial that you have a strategy when it comes to using social media for marketing. How often do you find yourself posting haphazardly if and when you have time putting pressure on yourself to come up with engaging and valuable content on the spot?  Don’t wing it! – Plan out what, when and how frequently you will be posting and stick to it. The main social media platforms that businesses use are like any normal family – they have their similarities, but they also have very different personalities and what might work for one, won’t always work for another. You have to understand their characteristics and get to know them to really feel the benefit.

Facebook is a fantastic platform for growing your business and perhaps the most powerful platform for doing so. Facebook thrives on engagement and consistency. LinkedIn is an amazing platform if you have more of a service based business. LinkedIn relies on connecting and networking and is an excellent platform for demonstrating how you can add value to your customers. Video is also becoming more popular on this platform.

Instagram is perhaps the most popular social media platform at the moment for the under 30s. Through a structured plan and strategy is it relatively simple to grow your following quickly on this platform. Instagram is a visual platform and users adore beautifully crafted content to inspire and uplift them.
